Wanslea Guest House Bed and Breakfast is situated in one of the most picturesque villages of the English Lake District in the foothills of Wansfell in Ambleside.
Wanslea is perfect for a weekend retreat or a mid-week break. We offer 10 spacious bedrooms over two floors. All rooms are en-suite, each has a free view TV, hair dryer, wine glasses in the premier rooms and complimentary refreshment trays in all rooms, with Wi-Fi coverage throughout the building.
A welcoming place to stay for hikers, climbers and tourists alike, Wanslea is within walking distance to the shores of Lake Windermere and Ambleside town centre.
Our 10 rooms comprise of a mixture of standard rooms with either a single, twin or double beds and our premier rooms with king size; two are beautifully-decorated themed rooms, The Arabian Room and The Africa Room, with bespoke décor.
We offer a wonderful varied breakfast range for you to enjoy. Choose from a full English breakfast or vegetarian/vegan alternatives, using high quality local ingredients where possible. This is served each morning, with lighter options also available.
We have limited parking on site and provide a parking pass for those that we cannot park.
From Wanslea there are many footpaths and hiking trails around the local area and cruises on lake Windermere are available from Waterhead Pier.
