Located in the picturesque town of Ellon, we're close to the River Ythan, with its famous estuary and excellent fishing beats. Also within easy reach are some fabulous golf courses, including the famous Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay, Meldrum House, Newburgh, Ellon's own MacDonald Golf Club and Trump International championship course.
A short drive takes you to the Forvie Nature Reserve at Collieston and historic places such as Haddo House and Pitmedden Garden. Of course we're perfectly placed to take advantage of the North East's famous Castle and Whisky Trails.
There are twenty five beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with en suite facilities, tea making facilities and television. They're all non-smoking and many of them have views of the River Ythan and the surrounding countryside.
For our dinner and bar meals, our chefs choose the finest quality local produce to create menus with a distinct Scottish character and flavour.
The Buchan Hotel can also comfortable accommodate functions and conferences for up to 80 people.
