Newport itself offers plenty of opportunities for shopping, eating out and various other leisure activities. Newport Leisure Centre is a 10-minute walk away and includes a state-of-the-art gym, pool and other sports facilities.

A very adequate room except for the window which was slightly open but looked as if it had a broken/damaged hinge. I decided simply not to touch it as the weather was warm and ventilation was needed. But having said that its a noisy road outside and it would have been better to have had the option to shut the window without worrying that the thing was going to come apart. I cant help but think that although its not a hotel and you cant expect a fancy telly even a tiny one would be welcome

I'd do this again definitely, cooking facilities excellent and a spacious clean room. We took our own small TV set and aerial as we noticed there's nothing like that in the room. Parking 5 minutes up the road in marked bays, and you're ok between 4pm and 10am.
