Not a twitch or a quiver as the water mirrors the sky.
He contemplates his empty stomach, looking out over the majestic views.
Waiting, watching.
Coldness creeps around his fingers as thirst arrives.
Still no elusive beast. He knows he’s in there. He’s heard the tales.
Weariness consumes as darkness falls. His eye’s struggle to see the lure.

A short stroll away, to the last of its kind. Warmth and welcome engulfs’ him through the threshold.
Aromas fill the air stirring his stomach and exciting his pallet.
The roaring fire wraps around him, easing away the windy chill.
The ale settles, glistens golden and slakes his throat.
A plate arrives, conscientious, considered. A bounty for the belly.
Contented he knows that tomorrow is another day. He will capture the beast beneath the Boshaw.
Time to rest.
Soothing, the bed takes him away to slumber, dreaming of what tomorrow will bring.
