There is also a vast wealth of canal, river and hill walks close by - Leeds Liverpool canal, River Douglas and Southport Coastal path, Parbold and Harrock hill along with the ever popular Fairy Glen. Bank Hall is also another great walk and is famed for its offering of snow drops and blue bells dependant on the time of year you visit.
