From dec 13th till feb 1st 2025 there is no breakfast service.The Old Royal Oak is definitely worth a visit, located in Knaresborough's famous 'Market Square' the pub dates back to the 18th century and has a real 'oldy worldy' feel to it, it’s even got it's very own ‘Priest Hole’. We are dog friendly in rooms 1/2/3 only and sorr we do not hae parking on site at the moment.
Around the Market Square and high street are lots of little shops and galleries. If you visit on a Wednesday you can enjoy the colourful market. Knaresborough castle is a must see with commanding views over the town and River Nidd.
There an array of restaurants within the area.We are room only prices with a breakfast menu available .
Major Road Connections - the A59 runs through Knaresborough. To the east it connects with the A1(M) - a major north-south route - and then goes on to York. West it passes through Harrogate before reaching Skipton, connecting with roads to the Yorkshire Dales, Lancashire and the Lake District.
Airport - the nearest international airport is Leeds-Bradford approximately 10 miles away, easily reached by road.
Trains - Knaresborough is well-served by trains, being on the main Leeds-York line. Trains also pass through Harrogate and services are approximately at half hour intervals.Sorry there will be no breakfast service on new years day.Pets allowed by prior araingement at £15 a stay in rooms 1/2/3 only.
