Excellent location in the heart of Gainsborough town centre. A traditional and friendly pub ideal for an overnight stay or longer-term bookings.
We offer five letting rooms at reasonable prices (including ensuite rooms) from only £35 per night. **Please enquire via phone or email for special rates for long term bookings, if you are looking to stay for more than 2 weeks.**
Please note that the pub is open from 11.30am Monday to Thursday and 11.00am Friday until Sunday. We close at Midnight every day except Friday and Saturday when we close at 1am. Busy trading periods are usually Friday and Saturday night with karaoke/DJ entertainment every week, and therefore the main bar can be quite busy at these times.
Check-in is anytime from 2pm until the pub closing times above. Check out is at 10.30am. However once you have checked in, you will have 24/7 access via a designated door.
Free high-speed WiFi is available in the main bar areas and rooms (separate networks). Each room includes a TV with Freeview channels, sink and tea & coffee making facilities.
The bar serves a wide range of draught beers, ciders, spirits and other alcoholic and soft drinks to suit all tastes. The Horse & Jockey also has Freeview TV throughout, as well as a pool table, jukebox dart board and fruit machines – with free pool and jukebox available at selected times during the week.
**Card payments: We accept all Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards, as well as Amex and Diners cards. Payment can be made online via our booking system, on the phone, or in person at the pub. Full VAT invoices can be provided on request. **
