Willington, and the surrounding area including the very popular Mercia Marina, is perfect for energetic outdoor activities like cycling, paddle boarding, canoeing and running. For a more relaxing break why not take a barge trip, enjoy a spot of bird and wildlife watching or just take a gentle stroll along the canal.
Here at The Cottage we love to welcome your furry friends, if you let us know you are bringing your dog we will have ready in your room a food and water bowl, a warm blanket and some special treats. Dogs are also permitted in our garden and bar area.
We have 14 beautiful rooms at The Cottage all individually designed with tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, fan, heater, flat screen TV, WiFi and toiletries. We have 5 standard double rooms and 2 superior rooms. 4 of our rooms can be made into twin rooms and 2 of our rooms can accommodate additional beds or travel cots.
Our housekeepers have been working very hard to ensure we have all the measures in place for you to be able to enjoy a beautiful stay with us and feel safe and covid secure.
At the Dragon we offer a fantastic selection of locally sourced food and drink including our infamous Boot beer and hearty breakfasts. We also have our stunning pub garden offering canal side dining with picturesque views of the Trent and Mersey Canal.
Nearby Cities include Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Burton on Trent and Ashby de la Zouch. Motorways close by are M1, M42, M6.
