Opened September 2013 after an extensive refurbishment transforming a former 16th century coaching inn into an open and more inviting space, with stylish and contemporary finishes creating a homely feel combined with a welcoming atmosphere.
The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Breakfast is available for both residents and non-residents 8am-11am, with our restaurant menus available all day from midday. Sundays are the chance to enjoy our superb Sunday roasts alongside other dishes from our weekly menus, with last orders at 6pm
Feering is a lovely rural village with a small, local, friendly village feel, yet a strategic location, enabling easy travel from Colchester, Chelmsford and London. Its ancient centre, located around All Saints Church, is listed in the Doomsday book although the village has grown considerably since medieval days and now stretches from the river Blackwater at the border with Kelvedon in the south, to the A120 in the north.
If you are thinking of having an extended stay in the area then do look for our very special rates for a 2 Night Weekend stay.
Please note - we are unable to accept online reservations for the same day after 6pm. We may still have rooms available, but to check availability please contact us directly on 01376 571783.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Blue Anchor.
