Abbey House B&B, offers a warm family atmosphere, comfortable accommodation and a hearty traditional Cumberland breakfast. Our Guest House is located in the busy market town of Penrith in Cumbria.

We have social distancing measures in place and automatic hand sanitiser in reception, which we would advise to use.

Abbey House check in is strictly between 4pm and 8pm unless prior arrangements are made with the proprietor.

There are occasions where self check in will be necessary and all details will be sent to the guest through email and text message .
The last self check in time is strictly 11pm .
It is vital that the guest staying provides a mobile and email contact, this is to allow the proprietor to send details on the morning of the arrival .

We are ideally positioned for visiting some of the country's most beautiful scenery including the Eden Valley, The Pennines, Scottish Borders and the Lake District, with the magnificent Lake Ullswater only five short miles away. Many of the finest lakeland fells are easily accessible, including Helvellyn, Blencathra and Skiddaw. The Coast to Coast Cycle Route is very close and have secure storage facilities for bikes.

Our guest rooms are all en-suite, with excellent facilities including sky tv ( all channels apart from movies) , tea tray and dressing gowns for your comfort to relax in .

Abbey house has a small CAR PARK to the rear of the house, this CANNOT be reserved it is on a FIRST come first served basis. There is parking at the front entrance.

All street parking is free in Penrith and runs on a disc scheme more details can be found on www.discoverpenrith.co.uk/parking-travel.
